About us
Houten Huis BV originated from our three company's: Vercaemer, Hamerzaag and Huis Brutus, each active in timber frame construction and interior and exterior joinery. We shared a passion for wood and its many benefits and worked fruitfully together on a regular basis. In 2017 we decided to join forces and set up Houten Huis BV together, we built our office in Destelbergen.
At a fair about ecological building we met Hugo, the then importer of the Finncotec system for Belgium, the Netherlands and Northern France, and the nicest person on earth! His enthusiasm for the Finnish way of building spread to us. In addition to timber frame construction, we also started offering solid wood construction and a combination of the two.
When Hugo retired a few years later, we took over the import of the Finncotec system from him.
We are now specialists in timber frame and solid wood construction, and you can come to us with any project. New construction or renovation, modern or traditional, small or large, detached or extension, even an extra floor on your house! We try to build as ecologically as possible and strive for 100% customer satisfaction in everything we do.
Over the years we have gathered a close-knit and motivated group of employees.
